Terms & Conditions

Please carefully read the T’s & C’s carefully below. Your business and time is valuable to the the working processes. In maintaining the business relationship between client and designer/artist there are a set of guidelines set in place for transparency.

Processes

  • The designer/artist has the right to refuse any commission request.
  •  Commissions are not first come first serve. The artist will only accept commissions they are able and willing to take on at the moment.
  • Be sure to make inquiries as specific and detailed as possible.
  • Commissions on average are completed within 1-3 weeks, depending on current work schedule.
  • Approved commissions where payments are not made within 3 days of invoice will be forfeited.
  • The designer/artist will not create anything containing offensive material. The artist is willing to create anything except for the following: the depiction of illegal activities and/or hateful/sexist/racist images. If unsure, please ask within your inquiry. For inquiries containing any possible adult sexual subject matter, please contact the designer/artist first.
  • The designer/artist specialises in creating work for logos, typography, corporate identities and etc. Commissions specified for character visual artwork including character design, concept art, and illustrations are permitted for branding purposes only.
  • The client may not redistribute, reproduce, resell or profit from the artwork without permission or commercial license.
  • The designer/artist is not responsible for printing, the client must purchase the cost of printing separately.
  •  Completed commissions will be delivered via e-mail.
  •  The client may resize or crop the commissioned artwork to create icons, wallpapers, or other graphics to be used in nonprofit and non-commercial digital format. The client may not alter the artwork itself (please ask if unsure).
  •  The client’s rights can be negotiated for an added fee. If the commissioned artwork will be used for commercial purposes, the client must notify the designer/artist prior to the start of work. Commercial use of images will be decided upon on a case-by-case basis, and may result in an increased commission rate, if necessary. New terms of service may also be decided upon before the artist can begin any work on a commission for commercial use.

Commission Info

Commissioned artworks are copyrighted and solely owned by the designer/artist unless specified otherwise in the terms of agreement with the client.

Payment

  • Full payment is required upfront, no exceptions. The commission will only begin once payment is received via EFT bank transfer (for local South African clients) and/or Paypal invoice (for international clients). Please do not commission the artist if you are unprepared to pay full cost, your commission will be irrelevant.
  • All prices are expressed in RSA Rands or in U.S. dollars, and payments are expected to be made as such. The client is responsible for sending the correct amount, equal to the listed RSA Rands or in U.S. dollar amount.
  • Base prices are subject to change according to the complexity, difficulty, and size of each individual customised brief.
  • Commission payments are to be made utilising PayPal services only.
  • Donations outside of commissions are appreciated!

Commission Use

  • If interested in using the designer’s/artist’s work for commercial purposes (for profit including advertising, promotion, publications, t-shirts, etc.), please specify within your inquiry. Additional information will be provided upon response. If the client wishes to license the artist’s artwork, please contact via email. A differentiated version of these terms will apply to licensed works, and be decided upon on a case-by-case basis.
